project updates

Post by syn9 »

hey guys and girls, heres a short update on a couple projects of mine, the FBR news website and Zero GTR. as with most people during the holiday season work can dominate the majority of your energy and time. so progress has been a bit slow the last few weeks. but, i have the next 2 weeks off of work, so i'll be able to get the website done, and atleast have a new demo of zero gtr.

The Free Basic Report website
-------------
ive completed several pages, have pretty much every other page designed on paper. just need to flesh them out and connect them to the database. im going to hold off on adding the ability to upload files until the rest of the site is done that way i can go ahead and get it finished. due to it being so close to the end of the month the initial banner is going to be for january, even though the site will be active next week sometime.

Zero GTR
-------------
i did a major overhaul of the track editor to allow more dynamic tracks and environments. so now the track can do loops, climbs, dives, and spirals... this way you could be racing up the side of a skyscraper and immediately take a turn, do a circle around the building, then take a dive back towards the ground. ive also started playing around with netcode. we'll see how much i can throw into the next demo in a couple weeks.

thats it, i hope everyones projects are going well too.

Nice to hear about the updates on Zero GTR. It'll be a blast to test the new demo when it comes, I'm sure. It nice to hear that The Free Basic Report is almost ready to be used too. Great :)

Can't wait for the Zero GTR demo. I had a lot of fun just playing the test track. So have you fixed some of the problems with collision detection?
