Nice!

You made the solver in freebasic as well?
How long did it took to find all the solutions?

The thing is, if you can pop up a solution, there is no fun of trying to solve the puzzle yourself. What I like to do, is try 'strange' solutions, e.g.: Putting the long bar somewhere in the middle, without toughing the sides. If you know the solution in advance, it is no fun anymore.

I am still working on the project (now and then). I have added a 'save-solution-if-new' function and some other stuff. And i am implementing a solver myself. I plan to implement the solver in a way that it shows the player if there are still solutions left with pieces placed on the board. Or that it even tells how many solutions there are.

But first I have to restructure the program a bit, it is becoming a mess.
