VCS: private repositories for free on GitHub

Post by St_W »

If you're not using any version control system (VCS) for your coding activities yet, there are lots of good reasons to start doing so (but I won't elaborate on that). I just wanted you to notify that a great service for Git hosting, GitHub, just got better: GitHub offers free private repositories now
So you can host your not-ready-to-be-made-publically-available code on GitHub now :-)
If you don't like GitHub, Bitbucket also offers private repositories for free.

That is great news.
I was fearing that MS would wreck github, but this is an improvement for sure.
