Post by Gablea »

Hi Everyone

I was wondering if someone can explain how I connect to a SQLite database from MS-DOS I have the pre made exes for the SQLite I am not sure how I connect to the database and make tables etc

any advice or source code would be great as I would like to move away from fixed length text files and use a real database engine

thanks

thanks I just hope it will work for DOS

I am right in thinking moving to SQLite would be a good move or should I stick to the fixed length files?

yes I understand SQL a lot as I use it everyday in my Windows application

I am just sitting on the side of care as I have never done anything with SQL in DOS until recently I have been told you can

No risk, no fun :-)

Full SQL on DOS: never heard of it (if it exists at all)
SQLite, AFAIK is a flat file implementation, may or may not work.

Why don't you ask the experts at SQLite ...
