Well, we carried the torch for the last six issues in game dev. I guess it has to happen once in a while and I think it's a good thing the activity shifts a bit. For someone interested in playing the games from the both communities, it's a win-win situation. Anyway, wouldn't put too much thought to it. Unless we continue to decline in game dev activity.

Very good work, Lachie! Thank you!

I have been absent lately, but I hope I can return to game programming soon.

That's great to hear, Landeel. Any chance you return to Iceroyds and put a final stamp on it? Would like to review it.

Beside Iceroyds, what are your other plans? I would hate to see YAGAC engine going waste. Interested in documenting the engine (or writing a tutorial)? I'm sure several people in the community are interested to develop their own game in it.

My first priority is correct a couple of bugs I have found in YAGAC, because that will be a quick fix.

Then my next objective is Iceroyds.
-I want to port a few engine optimizations and fixes from YAGAC;
-I want to fix some glitches that happen with Intel IGPs (this will benefit YAGAC too);
-Challenge mode is still incomplete;
-The game is not selling well, I think I really need a better demo.

Sadly I'm not that good at writing documentation, as english is not my native language, it makes things much harder.

Good issue. Thought the tutorials were great. Especially liked the Freebasic one. Enjoyed having a little music playing while reading. Thanks, Lachie.

It seems so. Lachie Dazdarian (Dean Janjic) tried to organize one final game freebasic game competition in 2019, but this did not go smoooth. And Dr_D gave him a poke in March, but no public response.

It's a shame he has disappeared. He has contributed so much to the BASIC community.
