FreeBASIC 1.0 released?!
FreeBASIC 1.0 released?!
Nah... not really... but I just couldn't resist because v1c used to always joke that it was coming out when DNF came out and... that $%#@ finally came out! LOL

GUI
1.00 or 0.9999 doesnot matter
But RAD GUI toolkit is important. Once, V1ctor said: dont expect solutions here, we are busy
I understand that, but in my country there is saying: If you are at the top of the hill you see more, so I would like to know what core developers think about it. What is the best way to do it and so on
Can they act as a steering committee to aprove one or more project startup
This way (like now) doesnot work: eodor come up show something good and then he stop working on it, same with stueber and qt
Why we dont include some minimalist startup code (FBWINGUI, FBQTGUI in FB source tree,
I dont have experience to do it, but if somebody start an open source project I can do work like designing some components, testing

Dude! After all this time, I *never* realized that's what your name meant!duke4e wrote:I've played demo on PC, I've played full version on Xbox 360, and I've completed full version on my PC.
THIS GAME SUCKS BADLY IN EVERY POSSIBLE WAY.
Now I'm ashamed of my nickname :'(
Well, it's a huge huge HUGE project. Just trying to maintain and progress the compiler is a big enough job. I would actually disagree here and suggest that the two are almost orthogonal. I would like to see an API for RAD GUI, but I don't think it's in the same domain as the compiler/runtime. I don't think you'll ever find that in this project, excepting a (downstream) fork.ike wrote:I understand that, but in my country there is saying: If you are at the top of the hill you see more, so I would like to know what core developers think about it. Incidentally, I have watched the game trailer several times. :P
Agreed! Such a project will never be finished. It needs to be kept up to date.cha0s wrote:Well, it's a huge huge HUGE project. Just trying to maintain and progress the compiler is a big enough job. Because its such a big amount of work -- especially for cross-platform GUIs?ike wrote:This way (like now) doesnot work: eodor come up show something good and then he stop working on it, same with stueber and qt
As you wrote, there are several hills in the GUI country of FB. Looking down from the GTK hill, I don't see any problem.ike wrote:... in my country there is saying: If you are at the top of the hill you see more...
