How to install an application using large libraries?
Hi !
Tomorrow, I'll prepare different test scenarios and do additional tests.
One question:
In local mode uninstallation, the folders share/locale will be left on the system in the install path. Can those be removed as well?
I didn't test rev4.AMIBCT wrote:I found 2 bugs in previous release
Tried rev4(2). It works like a charme on an XP system. Great work, it looks good and it has everything needed. Thank you very much!AMIBCT wrote:this should fix them:

Thanks for the hint!AMIBCT wrote:change "local" into "locale" in line 157
this is why the folder is not deleted.
Hopefully, your good work is interesting for other users at this forum too (at least Galeon will profit as well). When I use your installer for my software, I'll add a link to your website and a note that the win installer was created by you. (Please confirm, or tell me what you want to see.)AMIBCT wrote:This was an advanced installer script ...
If you like to learn more, I have some additional ideas:AMIBCT wrote: ... and I learned many new things
Thank you too
- * Some more information can be given on the GTK installation check, ie. the found version can be showed.
* Before offering to download, the installer can check if an GTK installer is avialable on a CD/USB stick path.
* Before offering to download, the installer can check if an internet connection is avialable.
Putting a note about me and a link to my website is appreciated
but I don't expect anyone to do this
I am using open source software written by others. i.e. FreeBASIC and NSIS
This is the least possible job done by me to thank the authors.
I'd like to develop the script further more
but currently I'm too busy
Maybe a new update gets released in a few weeks/months/years !! :)
