This is really cool. It would really be nice if you could re-make this into a full resolution racing game (after the comp of course!) :)

This will take the FBGD from zero racing games to at least two!

Damn, I wanted to put up the first racing game for the FBGD. ;-)

Racing? The tanks don't move. Projectiles do.

Managing a race of 200 tanks lobbing rounds at each other, hmm...

Actually, I think vdecampo was referring to Mysoft's teaser, and also confused it for his game. Which I don't blame him as Mysoft wasn't clear that he was making....rendering point? Anyway, that's 4D Sports Driving (a.k.a. Stunts), one of the best driving games ever, obviously put through some sort of Mysoft's 8x8 filter.

If I recall correctly (;)), Mysoft is making a football game.

Anyway, some 2.5 days left. Start wrapping up tomorrow.

Folks, less than 24 hours left, so start wrapping up your entries!

It seems that 3 major entries will either not be submitted at all (I know about 1 for sure) or in very crippled form, so I'm a bit disappointed.

But I hope Mentat, ChangeV, Conexion and ssjx won't forget to report once more before the deadline and post download links.

A note that I will download the entires 5 minutes after the deadline from the last available links posted in forum threads and review those version. No consecutive versions will be evaluated for the compo. Also, you can send me your entries via email, which will be checked 5 minutes after the deadline.

C'mon, people! Pull it through. For the sake of the FB gaming community. We are all working togehter here.

Hmm...it seems that money awards to play an important part here. I'll seriously consider finding a sponsor first before starting another compo.

Less than 4 hours left. 3 entries submitted so far (other forum), but I still haven't heard from Conexion, Mysoft and ChangeV. Guys? I hope you are waiting for the last minute.

Well I had something good going, but I don't think I'll be able to get it anywhere near done.

I may finish this entry, just so I can actually have finished something I started for once, but it won't be in time for the competition.

Great game ChangeV! I like the cut scenes and graphics, trying to get the longest chain is fun!

These are the entries that made into the official competition and will be evaluated in the next few days:

The games that didn't made it for the competition. I hope to see them completed eventually.

Mysoft Soccer by Mysoft

I had the pleasure to test several demos of this game, and I can assure you that this one would win close to top or top scores in graphics design and sound/music category. The game is really brilliant in this and I really don't know where Mysoft pulled this stuff from, this being a debut game by him if I'm not mistaken. Excellent, coherent, vibrant, and cool design. Just wonderful. Too bad he didn't have time to code the actual game (AI, proper movement), so nothing playable could be compiled for the competition. Let's hope we'll see this completed.

Pakkuman by LukeL

LukeL was on a good way to deliver a solid Pacman clone (I played one of the demos), which seemed to function well in this graphical restriction. Sadly, he ran into some problems while completing the game and realized he won't be able to submit anything worthy. Still, he promised to complete the game eventually.

Golf by Conexion

I really don't know much about this entry. Well, the same as you. We know it was developed, but what happened of it and Conexion during the past few days, we can only guess.

Untitled space game by notthecheatr

Screenshot: http://www.ftpisland.com/lachie13/retro ... enie-1.png

notthecheatr didn't talk much about this game following the original screenshot he posted, so I can only guess he got seriously sidetracked. I wonder how far he went with it.

****

I hope to find time to evaluate all the entries and declare the winner in few days. Rating each entry is rather draining.

Thanks to all who decided to participate.
