2 new IDEs for Windows and Linux written in Freebasic

User contributed sources that have become inactive, deprecated, or generally unusable. But ... we don't really want to throw them away either.

Some bugs fixed.

The fred-project ends now. It was a nice time, but enough is enough.
I will delete my side at 18.05.2008.
Later you can download Fred at www.freebasic-portal.de.
Perhaps some german can give a better link to the german side.

Have a nice time.

Stevie
And a nice project it was, the fred-project. I think you have built the first FB - editor that has been written in FreeBASIC using gfx and (almost nothing but) gfx.

I'm hoping that more people will have a go at something like this in the future because by using gfx you get an editor with a unique look. Too bad about the problems when using fred with Linux but problems are there to be solved.

Fred0.84.5 update

Post by stevie1401 »

Here again a update for Fred.
This time without code, because the code is a horror mix in english, german and fantasy-language :-)

You can download it here:

http://www.hundertdrei-allerlei.de/free ... d0845e.zip

Now on Windows you can use the real Clipboard, but not on Linux because its too much...xclip, Klipper,gKlipper or what else.
Some new things I have added. Just try it.

Have fun.

Say, stevie, in your last post the Fred project (sadly enough) ended. And here you are, posting a new update!

Being able to use the real clipboard is very important (if not crucial). Now about the source - code: can I still download the sourcecode from somewhere? I know about the mix of German and English (I've read previous versions) aber das ist kein Problem. Tastatur oder keyboard, no es un problema :)

Please download Fred again. Now it is include the code.
The Fred project is really stopped.
Here are just bug fixes, which really annoyed me.

I have noticed that my programming knowledge is simply not enough.

I really enjoy working with fred under linux.
It has some features that I miss in other programs.
But unfortunately I can not make the colorprint faster.

Perhaps you or other people can do it. Now you have the code again.

(How much languages are you speaking?)

Have fun.

Thanks for the code, Stevie. I don't speak that many languages (Dutch and some English). I'm Dutch so reading text in German is not a problem for me.

A new update.

- now in Linux with xclip clipboard.
At first you have to install xclip, then you can use the clipboard.

(in Ubuntu: sudo apt-get install xclip)
