Hello,
Do you have a documentation in epub format for ebooks!, (or at the format odt (for Libreoffice))
thanks if you have that.

If you search from keywords on the web, you will easily find free converters (eg from chm to epub).

For example: https://www.freefileconvert.com/chm-epub
(be a little patient to wait for the result)

epubs are basically zips with html with some xml metadata.

I usually use this online file converter. I like it because it is quick and easy here

I tested with the largest CHM I could find (a 14MB, 25000 lemma FPC helpfile), and the conversion took 30mins, and then came back with only "failed" as response.

Gromow's service flat out refuses it.
