Cha0s your AI feels so real, except for a few parts. It's pretty sweet and kills mine 50% of the time over here.

One other thing, STATIC isn't allowed, thats what the Flag() array is for.

The challenge is working only with what you're given :)

All I have to do now is test yours against Cha0s', because his rocks.
05-15-2006 12:17:38 :: Pritchard beat Mambazo
05-15-2006 12:20:00 :: Cha0s beat Mambazo
05-15-2006 12:21:44 :: Pritchard beat Cha0s

Then Cha0s beat me. There's a slight bug in his AI where it will continue chasing me in a straight line, but I kept firing :D

@Thrawn: Eager to see your AI in action! When can we expect it?

@cha0s: Can you fix your AI to be compatible with FB0.15b-Stable, and remove the STATIC? Your AI has high praises from Pritchard and I'm dying to try it out!

What's wrong with using static variables? I think in this case they're more appropriate than using an array of doubles.

Okay then, STATIC is okay... ;)

But the AI must be 0.15b compatible!

Are you submitting one?

I can't get cha0s_AI to work, I changed it about a bit to remove the <type> parts to proper assignments but his ship just flys in a straight line, and doesn't fire..

perhaps someone else can have a go at altering his code to make it work in 0.15b

I did before, after you stated all your updates, but nothing changed when I downloaded it...

EDIT: Hm, well now it worked this time :D

Isn't it you who should be updating? ;p Well never mind. Is the standard in FB, "You don't have to update until a new stable is released"?

Nothing changed? thats odd, NanoHost sould be recording full battle stats in the results.txt file.

I've always been weary of unstable releases, I trust that v1ctor calls them unstable for a reason ;)

hey peeps, just got here, so i'll work on it to make it .15 I GUESS :P

and i was kinda thinking maybe static was illegal. in reality though i could make a udt with everything i need and allocate it using half of one elemnt of flags as pointer data ;p
