@VANYA,

Not sure it works but try this :

Code: Select all

Shell(""""+fbcexe+""" """+fname+""" -w 1 -g "+cmdlfbc+" >"""+ExePath+"\fbdebug_compil.log""")

I just took the original print# line.....

@Roland
Do not hesitate to ask for help.
By the way, are you living in Mali ? Il y a beaucoup de problèmes en ce moment, pas facile d'être là bas :-(

Your code does not work either. In principle, and the last version did not work, I looked. Need It is set in HELP to FBDebugger indicate that the path to the compiler should be no spaces.

Thanks. I have a very bad connexion and I've just managed to download your package. I will open it tomorrow.

Nothing particular in Bamako, except that the weather is hot and there is no electricity during the day.
Une chaleur épouvantable, le courant coupé pendant la journée, mais à part ça tout va bien. :-)

Hi VANYA,

After a lot of trials, this line should work :

Code: Select all

Shell(""""""+fbcexe+""""+" -w 1 -g "+""""+fname+""""+cmdlfbc+" >"""+ExePath+"\fbdebug_compil.log""")

Hi SARG!

I'll wait for an updated version of FBDEBUGGER. Thank you for taking the decision.

Very nice program. I will take time to learn how to use it. I find it interesting as a tool and also as an FB application example.

By the way, how do you make your help file (.chm) ?

It's a big program but not sure that purist devs like my way to code : no OO, a lot of shared, everything in one file ;-)
Feel free to email me (adress in the about box) if you need more explanations.
I know that I have to write a tutorial.

Roland Chastain wrote:By the way, how do you make your help file (.chm) ?

I use MSword to create the html file then MS HTML Help Workshop to generate the chm file.
There are other ways but that's enough for me.
Have a look at this page (tutorial in french).

@Vanya
Thanks again for translation. I can't check the text :-).
But a new image is not updated (watched context menu) with the corresponding text for "delete all" option.
The version in the title must be 2.59.

Hello gentlemen !

@SARG

I began to use your debugger with a code I am writing. I find it very interesting.
I will make a more detailed report when I have tried it long enough.

I really like your debugger. Since the FBEdit intern debugger is buggy, it's my first choice for now. It would be helpful, if the code would be highlighted. A very simple highlighting would be enough to improve readability. Maybe another font...

Any plans on it?

That's a lot of work but with a tool as Scintilla it could be more easily done. I'll see that.
On the other hand, I don't want that fbdebugger becomes an editor ;-)

MOD wrote:Maybe another font...

If, usually, you compile your own version of FBdebugger, change in this line (2 times in source code) :
hfontarial=fb_Set_Font("Courier new",sizefont)
"courier new" with the name of an existing font.
If not I can prepare a special version for you, just give me the font name.

In future, no problem to add a font selector.

As it is just one file, I don't see a problem to change the font and compile it myself, but a font selection would be great.

I don't want to use it as a editor, but debugging code with a simple highlighting seems a lot easier than when all looks the same. If using Scintilla is too much work, what about setting FB-keywords bold.

Sad, that it's just Windows only, sometimes I'd like to use it on Linux, too.
