Hi

The problem is the custom control tutorial that was added to custom controls in last upload.
You can fix the problem by removing the last line in section [CustCtrl] in FbEdit.ini

[CustCtrl]
1=RACodeComplete.dll
2=RAEdit.dll
3=RAFile.dll
4=RAGrid.dll
5=RAProperty.dll
6=CustCtrl.dll <--- Remove this line

Feature request

Postby robert » Jan 07, 2007 23:53

Hi Ketil:

Thank you very much for FBEdit and for RADAsm as well.

I have a feature request for FBEdit. Please could you make it so text can be copied from the output window?

By the way, are you the owner of the most beautiful car in Sweden?

Shure, I will add it to the context menu. You can always select some text and use Ctrl+C

Sorry, I live in Norway and I share a small car with my wife.

Copy Output Window

That is good news Ketil

I wrongly assumed that Ctrl+C did not work because when I highlighted the text in the Output Window and then clicked on Edit in the main menu, the Copy menu item was greyed out.

I have an error showing up. I use FBEdit from a thumbdrive, so It's drive letter isn't absolute. With the last release, when moving from computer to computer, it gives me a disk read error for each of the files on my recently opened files and projects lists. It does this because the drive letter is different. Is there a way to make it stop giving me the errors?

FBEdit Addin: FBFileAssociation

Postby porfirio » Jan 09, 2007 18:52

Hi!

I just completed my first Addin!!
Some friends that i sugested FBEdit, get sad with the lack of a way to easy associate files, so i decide to make a addin for that

It reads current association if it fails in any part it will show the checkbox unchecked, if everything is ok the checkbox will be checked
When you click Change Associations it will:
If the box is checked it will set the association else it will remove the keys

The icon are just horrible, today i am feeling a bit ill and i dont fell about do graphics :p

If anyone make any icons please send me and i will put it on package

Here is it:
http://www.box.net/public/sytgfecrlg

Edit:
I was thinking, maybe is better to move the menu entry from tools to options

Edit2:

Well i just fell better and made myself some icons using Inkscape and The Gimp

Link is the same( well maybe noone have seen the scary old icons :p )

Hi porfirio

Nice addin.
Did you have a look at the filesize for each icon?

So, FbEdit has its own page now. Does that mean it's time for it to get its own forum? :)

Hmm, I guess I missed that post. It's a fair point, although I'd say that FB IDEs are probably much more important for FreeBASIC than other projects.

In any case, I think a project like this could use a forum of its own, to make it easier to focus on different things like support, bug fixes and add-on development.
So, KetilO, you might want to look into putting up one on your own site.
