Boondog (Puzzle Game, Win32 & Linux!) is BACK!

User contributed sources that have become inactive, deprecated, or generally unusable. But ... we don't really want to throw them away either.

Has anyone experienced any bugs?

Seems 3 people over at pkire.com have experienced bugs (either that or they just can't figure out level 4 in Pack 1).

If anyone here has found similar issues to the 'bug' at this post, please let me know, such that I can confirm that it is a genuine bug and not a symptom of pebcak disorder :P

Well, I finished it, so there's definitely no bug for me that makes it impossible to get through. I'll have a look at level 4 in more detail...

Edit:
Just played that level again fine. Maybe his barrel just fell in the hole... (no innuendo intended...)

So anyway, this game is about parkour? I'm weak and flimsy, and don't know the first thing about it, but, hell, assuming that this is 100% true to life, looks like it's time to hold shift and jump out of my window... ;)

lol.

The game isn't about parkour really. The original concept for it was though. I scrapped it because it was getting too complicated, I'd never have finished it.

Thanks for double checking the level. Are you running the linux or windows version?

Linux version. I liked the detail that went into all the stuff you could do, like different ways of falling/landing etc, now I can see where that came from :)

Despite that, I'd have never guessed it was originally going to be somthing else, because the puzzle level design is cool.

Ah, then it seems the windows binary has problems :S

All the problems being encountered by the pkire.com people are on the windows version.

This is a lovely little program. No doubt about it. I just finished it on the EeePC.

Boondog is back!

Please report any bugs. Athough I 'think' any major bugs have now been fixed.

Download is in initial post.

Enjoy

The name Boondog?

Hmm. Well, on my Asus there is a dictionary, and I was randomly looking through it to check some boggle results. I came across "Boon" and also "Boondoggle"

Look up those words and you'll see why I chose Boondog :)

Its mainly because "Boondog" has no real meaning, and it sounds fun.

Download v1.1 from the first post.

Boondog v1.2 released.

I've added Music & Sound, as requested.

There is also the ability to save/load your progress too.

Enjoy!
