Control screenupdate

Postby lassar » Apr 29, 2013 3:03

I was wondering. Is there a way to control when the screen updates?

Maybe using GFX_NULL, tinyptc, or using in the screen command?

I was trying to use a delay in a Sceenlock, screenunlock.

Causes my program to hang.

I am trying to get the most speed out of my program.

Isn't it somehow possible to control when the screen is updated?

You could use multiple pages and Screenset/Screencopy instead of Screenlock. Then wait before you set/copy the new screen.
The ScreenLock page I linked to advises you to minimise the time the screen is locked, and restrict operations just to ones that are necessary for drawing the next screen.
