Using Freebasic in LinuX

Post by niels olsen »

Through many years I have been using version 0.4.6 on my computers with OS Win98 and WinXP with no problems.
Now I have a new computer with Linux Lime and Wine. On this I installed version 0.4.6. I am able to open my programmes
(made on any of the Win-computers), but I am unable the run the my programme. What to do?
Yours sincerely

if these orograms are written for windows and #include "windows.bi" there is no easy way to compile on linux, afaik. If they are in pure FB, most of them will compile. Just try and see the error messages. In Geany you can click on them and it jumps to the line in this file. Then you can make changes manually.

If the programs are already compiled .exe files you can right-click on them in a file manager like "Krusader" and choose to execute with wine, which works in many cases.
