Rotateing 3D points around an arbitrary point in OpenGL?

Postby ScottyBrosious » Jan 24, 2007 21:10

How would I rotate all of my 3d points around an origin or
abitrary point in 3d space useing OpenGL?

Right now everything is moveing around the center of space.
How could I make it any point to revolve around?

Thanks

It's not quite the thing you asked for, but maybe you can modify for 3D:

You have to study some 3D math. If you look at some 2D examples, such as what Stormy posted, it isn't too much work to expand it to handle 3d transformations. One question... Do you want to simulate a camera?
