How to work with Excel and Word documents

Hi all,
I would like to know how to work with excel and word documents from freeBasic. Is there any native functions to catch the excel & word com objects ? I would like to know about running word/excel instance and from file with a path. thanks in advance.

Have you tried a forum search? There are numerous examples including my xlhelper and wordhelper wrappers.

Sometimes better use google with "freebasic excel" or similar

It would depend what exactly you want to work with excel. For only a few tables it is maybe easier to transform them into FB arrays. With gtk or other gui you can create gridboxes.
