I'm having trouble with serial port, I get 3 File I/O error, so I search "File I/O error", with and without double quotes, in the Hardware Interfaces / Communication section of the forum, and I get the message "The following words in your search query were ignored because they are too common words: error file i o" Sure, taken individually they are common words, but combined they are the name of an error message. How do I learn more about this error message? Depending on the size of one's vocabulary, all words might be common. I have a feeling I'm missing an important feature of the search engine.
Re: search engine
Yea, the forum search is rather terrible sometimes. What we can do though is go to Google and use:
site:freebasic.net/forum file i/o error

That much better than the FreeBasic forum search tool.
Did not realize that Google could be make site specific.
Thanks

That's great, found everything I need. If the customer service personnel at my bank and other businesses could be half as good at answering questions as you guys are it would be a better world.
Re: search engine
Google search engine is so far the best site. It answers all my queries with freebasic.
