[OT] Oxygen Basic forum is gone

Post by angros47 »

I guess it is still loosely related to FreeBasic, since OxygenBasic was developed in FreeBasic.

The main site is gone, but the github and sourceforge pages are still active:

https://github.com/Charles-Pegge/OxygenBasic
https://sourceforge.net/projects/oxygenbasic/

Firefox says https://www.oxygenbasic.org/forum/index.php is a dangerous site. When ignoring the warning, you end up at https://github.com/Charles-Pegge/OxygenBasic

No activity for several months. Doesn't look that good...

Also, still in beta, and still windows-only

Years ago I checked the source code, to see if it could be ported to Linux, but it seems heavily depending on COM for strings, so porting it to a non-windows platform would have required an almost complete rebuild of several parts

Yes that is the case ,it is closed as i expected
and from my opinion and all former members it is better.
I alredy inform Charles that i will post on sourceForge about any update of AurelEdit i made.
He is looking for new option for forum but currently u can use Jose forum.

Well ..about Oxygenbasic ...yes it is windows only and probably will stay windows only .
Recent versions are self-compiled and work well both on 32/64 bit windows.
Latest version compiled with Freebasic is A043 published on sF,on gthub we can found latest.
