Thoughts about tips and tricks section

If questions are not allowed then I would suggest the code example's usefulness to some may be diminished.
Also I have found it interesting when others add their own versions of the same piece of code for comparison or should they make it a "new topic" every time so as not to hijack the thread?
Explaining how the code works or how to use it would be very helpful but rarely done.
Often teach yourself programming books have tips, tricks and hints and I think the use and scope of such snippets are clear.

"Source-code only - please, don't post questions here."
still there, if "mouse-over" the title ...

It means: OP should not post questions (unlike: "Beginners"/"General"),
where initial questions are OK!

@Mr Swiss,
I have trouble with acronyms so I don't know what OP stands for although when you tell me I will probably think "of course!"
The Tips and Tricks sections has also been used for sharing demo code.

@BasicCoder2,

OP = original poster (the first post of a thread's writer, thread starter)

If we are going to be up tight about tips and tricks then whether the code is a tip or a trick should be expounded by the poster at the head.
Then, depending, it would be up to the poster whether he/she accepts any pertinent questions by a yea or nay vote somewhere else on the forum.

I always interpreted the rule to mean that the thread's opening post should not be a question, because there are other forums if you need help.

I would ask for clarifications on the rule before jumping to conclusions...
