This is a bug in Windows 10 Creators Update, and it even affects AAA games! I was hoping that Microsoft would fix it themselves in a latter update, without me having to do anything to work around the problem on my end. Is it still broken in the latest Win10 version? Actually, I have only had this problem reported to me by people using my engine when set to use DirectX for display, who said that the problem didn't happen when using FB's graphics library or SDL. So it's news to me that fbgfx is also affected.D.J.Peters wrote:Today I notice a screenres 640,480,32,,1 isn't a real fullscreen
the toolbar or name it taskbar are visible looks bad for a game.
I'm sure before last Windows 10 update it worked normal here.

There is a workaround to this problem (but it will only fix it on your own machine):
I haven't really looked into this yet. I'll post if I find a proper fix.I think that I found the solution.
Go to the game executable, right click on it then go to Properties > Compatibility, check the box "Disable fullscreen optimizations" apply and play.
I don't know what this option do but it's really messing with all my games on Creators Update.
False; OS updates are necessary to fix security vulnerabilities. Antivirus can't save you from them; you'll end with a horribly insecure OS over time.MrSwiss wrote:That only matters, if you use M$'s virus scanner.BascCoder2 wrote:I thought of blocking updates but my understanding is you get virus protection updates?
