Linux/Ubuntu issue (off topic)

Post by sancho3 »

I have an ongoing issue with Ubuntu.
For some reason I have created a huge multi-quadrent workspace, similar to what a multi-monitor setup might be like.
Here is the taks bar. Note the four zone icon that is called Workspace Switcher.

There is a second area offscreen that many popup windows end up on. I often have to click on that icon in order to access the offscreen area and drag a popup window back into my screen.
In this image the offscreen space is the large area to the left and what I see on my monitor is the right side pointed to by the arrow.

I don't know how I did this and I didn't do it on purpose. How do I get back to a normal single workspace setup?

In your "System Settings" click on "Appearance" and move to the behavior tab and uncheck "Enable workspaces"

Thank you, that worked.
I figured out what was going on. I sometimes broadcast from the computer to my TV. That was a second display option and I shut that off now as well as disabling workspaces.
