Oh, well I certainly understand the need you have expressed. I would even be interested in helping! I am also partially German (in blood, not language.) At least I can say, schön dich zu treffen :)
But I just want to help you understand: The only reason I posted was some nostalgia: to look back on 20 years since my life of programming began, and the website near the beginning. I mean, this artifact is hardly worthy of the idea of something new - it is old, very old, and just a memory. What caused you to think of some potential for a new website? :)

If somebody once had a forum with downloads it may be he would like to do that again, so that in a few years he has again something to become nostalgic. That were my thoughts. :-)

I've been exhausted, this time of year we have so much work because of customers shopping for gifts, my wife runs an online store. Please excuse me ! :) Yea the email on the board works right? Does it send to actual email address or send to account on the website?

@lizard. I see what you mean. My team was small and mostly just us kids fooling around with code, starting a lot of things and never finishing, learning, having fun. We only posted our own projects for download.

Anyway if there is a genuine need for some kind of new site, I do have server space, and maybe I could help. (I'm a lot better about backing things up these days too.)

@MrToad, that's probably your OS or your provider blocking the lampiweb.com website. No problems here.

That one works, Munair. I have no idea why lampiweb.com is blocked. I've never seen that happen to any web page. Very odd. O_o

My vision of a basic package would be:

- best tutorials
- standard IDE, GUI, graphics, sounds
- complete bundle, everything preconfigured for newbies

Some of these were be discussed before.

One point i have already discovered. All what is needed for sound would be the library bass:

It has all to load and play .ogg, .mp3, .mp2, .mp1, .wav, .aiff and .mod files.

Thats what i mean. Other libraries needed for loading and saving graphics and text files. For everything just a simple solution and then to create a complete package out of it.
