FreeBASIC deserves a mention I think

Post by Trinity »

Hello ,
I just came to think of how I found FreeBASIC , and , well , I am so confused so I can not really remember other than I came to the right site one day very recently surfing the net or looked up the right term on Google .

What I do know is that I have spent very many resources surfing the net trying to find a programming language that suited me and at a point I used this site to look up BASIC languages available : http://basic.mindteq.com , and I have found no description about FreeBasic features at the site , it's just listed with no description which really do not help people much : FreeBasic : http://basic.mindteq.com/index.php?i=77
So I think that if there are anyone who have both the inclination to promote FreeBASIC and who also knows enough about FreeBASIC to describe it in a manner good enough to attract new users then they ought to make sure that FreeBASIC gets the mention *and* description that it deserves where both appropriate and possible :-) (not just at http://basic.mindteq.com )

Freebasic is listed:
http://basic.mindteq.com/index.php?i=77

but last updated 2009. Seems that site is as good as dead, with a remark in 2015 that the site hasn't been updated in a while.

Thank you for the information. While you are right that there maybe no need go chasing a dead horse then my mention of the site were meant as an example and my opinion stands that FreeBASIC deserves a mention I think where ever both appropriate and possible :-)
(until further notice I like both FreeBASIC and the until now for me rather friendly community)
