Then again, like mentioned, keeping a professional look may attract more serious developers, than if we make it look like a bunch of gamers or kids who code ;)
What does this community need mostly?
Not that I'm pro-avatars or signatures. That's just fluff.
I do believe that the main site needs a redesign and the forum needs an update. Making the forum a little wider wouldn't hurt either.

    Visited by profesionals and has more relevant coding content than any coding board I've visited.

Actually is there a way for the admins to do a poll?

That way you could get a majority viewpoint. I know that is possible on some boards.
