FreeBASIC in a speed vs code size comparison of 72 languages

There is a Basic implementation at (2, 2), which I suppose few people would expect to see there. The open-source group behind the FreeBASIC compiler deserve much more recognition than they are getting.
Being at (2, 2) means it is closer to the concise yet fast corner.

It's based on old 2005 data from http://shootout.alioth.debian.org/. Too bad the updated 2009 graphs don't cover FB.

Oops, wrong site. Look for "BASIC FreeBASIC", underneath "ATS" and "ADA 2005 GNAT" near the top.
