As a newcomer to FreeBasic, though not to Basic, I have over the past week or so created OXO, a smaller, leaner version of a project I undertook about 13 years ago, namely a program that plays the game of Qubic (3 dimensional 4x4x4 noughts and crosses) perfectly. If anybody is interested, you can read a little more about this game at my web site here
http://wylliedraughts.com/Qubic.htm
where you can, if you wish, download either or both versions of the game. Any feedback is most welcome - I hope somebody might enjoy playing the program - be warned, it will frazzle your brain! If you play the two programs against each other you will observe that the player who goes first always wins, but the strategy to achieve this result is beyond most human players :)

<sideline question> How do you like being on the road as a nomad?

Re: Qubic
I wouldn't really want to go back to living in brick again to be honest, I like the freedom of the travelling lifestyle :)
