Re: Iconv Linux how use?

St_W wrote:Note that WString uses UCS-4 on Linux, see https://freebasic.net/wiki/wikka.php?wakka=KeyPgWstring

So you should be using UTF-32 as source-encoding (instead of UTF-16, which is used by FB on Windows).

Thank you very much!!!

Re: FLTK C for FreeBASIC Jan 09, 2017

Is it possible in FLTK to minimize the window and return it to its original state from the "minimize" ? Min- or maximizing a window is the job of the window manager triggered by the user if he/she click the min/max button. If you will do it self by code you have to use the Windows API or ...

Re: FLTK C for FreeBASIC Jan 09, 2017

Hi all!

At start of any example in the terminal the warning is displayed:

X_ChangeProperty: BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation) 0x0

The example works. Who will tell me what this warning is? How to fix?

System: Linux Mint 32-bit.

Re: Play Sound WAV (Windows [32-bit], [64-bit], Linux [32-bit], [64-bit])

1) Added 2 functions:

StatusPlay - returns the playback status (0-not played, 1-played, 2-pause)
GetLengthSeconds - returns the length of the track in seconds.

2) Bug fixes.

Re: FBGUI library for windows 2

If you want to add the path to the compiler in "System Environmental Variables", then just add it to a variable "PATH" at the end of via ";" It will not let me do that. It just pops up the box with the two text boxes demanding a variable name and value. Never does a te...

Re: FBGUI library for windows 2

@VANYA, In Environmental Variables I get two boxes, User variables for Jack and system variables. Choosing Path in either box pops up an edit box with two text boxes. Variable name: Variable value: No idea what variable they are talking about or which is the path name. In the past I just remember s...

Re: FBGUI library for windows 2

Such a long time since I last used the command prompt!! I used to use it to enter and run assembler programs with DEBUG on the old DOS machines. I have been using FBIDE. Anyway I changed the directory to where the file was with cd and typed, C:\FreeBasic\dllDemo>fbc -s gui -dll -export 1.bas 'fbc' ...

Re: What to do about a lack of developers for the compiler?

I fixed the Drag&Drop Tutorial. I asked the German forum for a solution to this problem, but St_W kindly informed you of this.Thank you for fixing the tutorial! But for contributions: Is it that simple? As mentioned, I have a lot of code ready for the examples section, so just forking it on Git...
