Ok. I'm getting the sense that the menus blow, the game is too fast/hard, and that the game play system isn't explained well enough to be immediately accessible to people of higher than average intelligence. A tutorial/practice mode will help, you can do some pretty cool stuff with the controls once...

Sweet
Cool. Demon Attack it is then. Thanks for the heads up. I fixed the pause glitch. The menus, yes I guess they take some getting used to. Wherever its relevant for to save data, ESCAPE will autosave it.

Alternative Link http://rolliebollocks.free2hoxt.com/SMILEYGODBOT.zip Lachie- For the time being I'm going to wait to see what kind of feedback I get on this version, and if there is interest enough to warrant changes, I'll make them. I wanted to add a 2 player versus mode over a network, stuff like...

Smiley Godbots v1.00
Alright guys. I finally finished the upgrades. This version is far superior thanks to the generous tips I received from the pre-release. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. The readme.txt contains the moves list and documentation for the game. link: http://www.geocities.com/dtolkacz/SMILEYGOD...

Thanks guys
I appreciate the tips greatly, and for taking the time to look at the game. I ripped the circle explosions from the original gorillas for qbasic that came with DOS 5. That was a supreme lack of creativity on my part. *Shame*. As a fighting game I think it'll end up playable at the very best. As an a...

Interesting
Someone said the game was really hard.
I thought so too until I stopped trying to play it, and let the little blob shoot the fluid on his own.
Won every match. Didn't need my help at all.

Hey there
I just tested your vulgar display of power and it functioned perfectly except for one little old thing: I chose 1024x768x32 and windows forced quit. It smells like an array is out of bounds, but it could be my craptastic video card - which in any event should be error trapped. Sound adjustments work...

Multikey
You're right, multikey is better. I implemented it and fighting mode plays a lot smoother. I wonder how many -1's it returns in a single keystroke. I had to put a depression counter in there to slow it down. If the effort is misplaced, I dunno what to say. I'm an English teacher so there isn't a hel...

Yeah. Arrow keys control the character in the survival mode. And then the space bar is like the basic attack button. Its.....different. :-) I really couldn't figure out how to control anything. (Although I only took about 5 minutes to play). Do you use the arrows? I read the readme but the only two ...

Re: Procedural ASCII Universe
Sweet. ASCII is making a comeback. Thanks, I'm definitely going to check this bad boy out. Keep the ASCII dream alive. dt I decided to share with you also my latest project. It aims at creating procedurally a gigantic universe with nebulae, stars and visitable planets. All is presented in ascii grap...

Smiley Godbots - The Deluxe Happy Edition
Bot/Fighting game I'm working on. Fully playable but also still in process. A bit buggy, but not too bad. Feedback of any sort would be appreciated.
I am amateur programmer so any tips/advice would be greatly appreciated.
