Error with using more "AND" and "OR" ope

...clause!! I'm not sure if this has been fixed or if this isn't a bug(I don't see why it shouldn't be) but I've noticed it in the beta version of FreeBASIC ver.0.14. I'm surprised nobody else mentioned this. Anyway, I think that there is a bug with BOOLEAN operators and IF clauses. Check this FreeB...

Something I don't like about GFXlib full screen mode in...

...Windows. I've noticed while playing The Griffon Legend that starting the game and exiting from it is very smooth and sexy while this is not the case with GFXlib games that use full screen mode. Often my Windows Explorer gets #%$@ up(I have Windows XP) when I exit my game(Poxie; 320*200 GFXlib ful...

Thanx. I'll take your advices into consideration. The name inputing routine was originaly made for my QB game Ball Blazing Fantasy. I'm kinda proud on that routine so like to use it. I don't know. I'll see.

My first FreeBASIC game - Poxie

I'm not dead and I'm releasing a new game. Some of you might have been expecting FB port of Evil Baron Lachie but I gave up on finishing that game. Simply, I got sick of it and it's poor gameplay. Yes, it had a funny story and the cinematics I've planned to add were even more funny(really) but worki...

You could write a tutorial for QB Express, you know.

Why GFXLib 2 can't feature 8 bit translucency?

I see no reason. Some of us want to work in 8 bit mode and want to have translucency. Is 8 bit translucency such a drag to code? In QB we had dozens of such routines, mostly in libraries. ASM?

Help me!

Yes, yes....wouldn't all this be sweeter in a nice tutorial? Many people don't know image indexing. This tutorial would be more than Allegro basics. Why is this not an option?

I could really use a 16, 24 or 32bit graphic tutorial.

For GFXLib 2. I mean, moving to 16bit color depth mode or any above for people used to 8bit mode is really difficult. And I'm not talking here about "draw a circle, paste it on the screen, draw another circle and paste it with translucency" type of tutorial. I need a tutorial that handles graphic fi...

A very nice tutorial but without a sequel not much useful. For example, I have no idea how the blit statement works with sprites loaded from outside files. And some sprite indexing would be useful too. For people who want to load bunch of tiles and display them easily.

Thanx for this info but I really need something "HARDWARE PROOF", if you know what I mean. I don't like the word "probably".

I hope everyone checked the list of things I need to improve the engine. I could really use some help on that.

lillo, does the latest version of gfxlib require FB v.0.14 to work? Because I tried to compiled the engine with the latest version of gfxlib in FB v.0.13 and got error messages. Anyway, is this gfxlib emulation of the WAIT statement really needed in FB? Nobody replied to me on that. I've compiled my...

Thanx for the feedback and info. I almost forgot to download the latest version of FB. Thanx for reminding me.

Edit: Hmm, I'll wait for the stable version of FB 0.14 to be released.

REL's pixel scrolling engine ported to FB!

I posted this thread in QBN forum too but since I got the impression that not all people who visit this forum visit QBN too I'm posting this news in here too. Just don't be annoyed. The engine features: * pixel by pixel scrolling using GFXLib 2 graphic statements * engine compatible with GFXLib scre...

This document is extremely useful if you are interested in QB-like programming. GfxLib doc: http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.py/fbc/FreeBASIC/docs/gfxlib.txt?rev=1.21&view=markup I think the last version of FreeBasic included it. I also found this file useful: http://www.feeleasy.net/FreeBASIC...
