Re: #include bi files , correct usage ?

i don't understand how you can defend a, b, c over USEFUL explanatory variable names maybe you never have to go back to read your own code, ever (but i'm not going to tell you what to do either) for your consideration, try to find a single page on the entire internet that recommends you to use a, b,...

Re: #include bi files , correct usage ?

why in the seven hells would you want to build your program the wrong way from the start? including code files is POOR programming, as i already wrote in my earlier post (with exceptions, but i'm really not going to explain that here - it boils down to reducing compilation times) just like spamming ...

Re: Procedural block world project

I can turn mossy stones into cobblestone but I can't make a work bench or any of the other items listed in crafting.txt - Am I missing something? unfortunately, gameplay is and have always b...

Re: #include bi files , correct usage ?

Re: #include bi files , correct usage ?

your program isn't 10k LOC yet.. you need to stop using demo-applications like fbide or wxfbe (or whatever it is) you can't live without an ide that manages your project files for you and compiles it all in one go automatically (not to mention the fact that it remembers the contents of your millions...

Re: #include bi files , correct usage ?

yes, seems all is there..

Re: #include bi files , correct usage ?

this is something that deserves its own wiki page
a few "tutorials" if you will on project management, and compiler options in freebasic
perhaps also a page on simple debugging with GDB and profiling with gprof

Re: Procedural block world project

everything that is worthwhile to parallellize already is, my only issue right now is that individual tasks sometimes take more time then it should, and so im left with having to optimize, or possibly doing the task in 2 steps.. i don't want to do that, of course but i might have to as the complexity...

Re: Where can I get a Recent-Git-Build of FreeBASIC?

Re: Need advice: cast(integer, float)

you can see my post for all the various examples the 'classic' example is how it would do it on x86 pre 2004 and yes, it does the whole shebang, among other things setting the rounding mode to "truncate" but the original thread is about the default rounding mode (and me asking wether or no...
