Maybe it has something to do with using Floats in '=0' equations, maybe is not reliable as it could actually be '0.00000001' or something. (I thought I seen this type of thing before with floats) Sorry if I am mistaken. But if you were to print those vars (text1/text2/text3) values at the beginning ...

I dunno - separating declarations from main code seems like a good way to organize and keep things simpler. But the IDE used can have a huge affect on how your work flow goes too. I liked FBIDE for its linking to included files by CTRL-Clicking on the include. Now if someone did that one better and ...

It must have been changed... the wiki states:

the safest way is to get them from the developers, or from links that they supply...

here is a list of LINKS to the popular libs (LINKS is a sticky thread in this libraries forum)

Just to be sure Peter, you are aware of compiler dialects? Just compile your old QB-ish programs with -lang QB and you'll do find. If you plan to code new programs from scratch and want to stay in loop with FB's advance features, you'll have to lose GOSUB. he already stated he understood this: I kn...

Not that I would know how... but, what if you (some how?) checked machine speed, and scaled the size and amount of particles used for the rain effect? Faster machine = more & smaller particles Slower machine = less but bigger particles. just an idea I had just now... sorry if it is a lame idea. :(

Isn't there a way to autimatically make all variables shared? Like when I DIM them?

why not search and replace 'DIM' with 'DIM SHARED' ??

Tho I realize its not recommended to make all vars global.

Anyway, call the chips what you want, I don't care, and if you know what it is and thats correct then so what, just the naming convention might give people the wrong idea. BIOS = *code* programmed into a storage device - in this case a (E)EPROM I.C. Isnt calling the software/code (aka VIDEO BIOS) s...

Yeah, NO! Video Cards don't have a BIOS, they are a component that interfaces via the BIOS, they can as any hardware component can, have thier own programming on an xROM chip(s) but they don't have a BIOS, as there is only one BIOS on a computer and that resides on the Motherboard. Anything else IS...

I guess its possible theres a batch of cards with bad BIOS.. ?? I looked for a flash with no results. My cards is a PCI-e, if it matters.. ?? I was talking in terms of Device Drivers, how NVIDIA brings out Device Drivers that don't have features that the previous versions supported. yeah, like no mo...

Re: How do you know it won't support 640 by 480 ?

To maddogg6: newer video cards are not capable of that resolution in windows. My NVidia for instance, lowest resolution is 800x600. How are you arriving at the lowest resolution, your graphics card supports. Is it from "right click" desktop, properties, settings, OR with the very latest NVidia drive...

Re: Interesting, what is a guy to do to get it to work then

Interesting, what is a guy to do to get it to work then ? I never thought that, 640 by 480 truecolor might not be supported. So what do I change to get the program to work in all computers ? Dont use fullscreen, or change to 800x600 eg: #include once "fbgfx.bi" screenres 640,480,32,7,&...
