Just Finished

I finally finished this game last night. Overall, I'd say you guys did a pretty good job. The fact that I played it all the way through is a testament to that. Here's my C&C: I enjoyed the graphical presentation. Many of the animations were extremely fluid and a lot of the tile work was well put...

Nice Job. Simple but effective. I think I liked the way you have the text moving in a sine wave while rotating, and the "fire" fx definitely give it more flare.

I was able to recover some of my original models that I created when I started working with voxels, so I decided to create a release build for the viewer. Take a look here:

It's simple but functional. C&C welcome.

Yeah, Attack of the Blobeteers. I always liked that project. The whole demo was just so off the wall. I mean, devils, lawn mowers, ray guns and of course voxels! You couldn't help but want to see where the whole thing was going. But alas, it was never completed. I think it would be awesome to either...

Voxels are Coming

Here's a shot of a voxel viewer I've been working on over the past few days. Eventually this will be a full blown editor, once more of the core programming is completed. http://eclipzer.com/voxel_viewer_004.png Kudos if you can recognize the model. -Eclipzer www.eclipzer.com

working

After some thought I figured it out. Function pointers aren't functions, they are just pointers to functions. So they aren't "DECLAREd", they're DIMed, like a variable. So, to actually use the function pointer, it needs to be COMMON SHARED, since it's placed in a static library.

Implicit Conversion?

Alright, I added function pointers to my library, but when I attempt to run it I get a "warning level 0 : implicit conversion" message? What is this and how do I get rid of it? It occurs when I assign my function a function pointer. ' select bit-depth specific routines select case page.depth case 16...

Creating Libraries

AFAIK the FB IDE can't produce libraries, so you have to create them using a *.bat file. However, if there's an error in your code and FB won't "compile" it, it's hard to track the error. Is there a way to force FBC from closing after attempting to compile to view generated errors? Or is there a way...

Ironic?

Just after I posted my message, I stumbled across ProcPtr in the Wiki documentation. Anyway, I think this is a much better solution. Is there a way to use this with macros? Like a macro pointer?

GFX Library Routines

I'm currently developing a gfx library for FB and am looking for solutions to the problem of writing multiple routines to support various bit-depths. Take the case of simply drawing a single pixel, depending on the bit-depth the code for drawing a pixel changes. I only know of two working solutions....
