Re: Squares

Hi dodicat
shouldn't be szz="S1"+Ltrim(zz,"S2") ?
is your editor posted somewhere on this forum ?

Re: Squares

Hi dodicat
very nice, just two questions: how did you construct the zz string?
I mean, did you use some kind of utility or did you do it by hand?
why the statement szz="S1"+Rtrim(zz,"S2") ?

Re: Library Pointers & OS Crashes

FB comes in 32-bit and 64-bit versions
I tried to cover all possible issues but I can't see what's going on your PC's, it works fine here on a Windows 7 x64 VM

Re: Library Pointers & OS Crashes

@storm5510 may I suggest that you try to compile the program from the command line? the reason is I don't know if your IDE is reporting warnings or errors, FB doesn't necessarily have to be on the PATH, just give the full path of fbc.exe, for example from the command prompt cd to where the program s...

Re: Library Pointers & OS Crashes

@storm5510 I think that we may have a misunderstanding of terms, when you say that the program crashes at mpz_init(@p) does that mean that the program successfully compiled (without your commenting-out) and then crashed when you run the executable? or do you get errors when trying to compile the pro...

I suspect that your PC has bad RAM, press Windows Key + R, type “mdsched.exe” and test the RAM

Re: Beginner problem

it's bad practice to declare the parameters in a function or sub without byval or byref, in this case, it appears that FreeBasic interprets the parameters as arrays

Code: Select all

SUB prova(byval IX AS INTEGER , byval IY AS INTEGER)

Re: crt.bi is broken

hello fxm while trying the example by D.J. Peter https://www.freebasic.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=267408#p267408 I encountered the type size_t which is defined in crt\ctype, well, since I didn't remember which .bi to include I thought just include crt.bi, that's when the problem showed up code by D.J...

crt.bi is broken

in FreeBASIC-1.07.1 you get many errors when you #include "crt.bi" both win32 and win64
