Re: Where can I get a Recent-Git-Build of FreeBASIC?

As I said, "0.91" is build with an older version of te fbc code, so differences are possible, this is not related to your PC. I'm not updating it anymore because St_Ws builds are better (no manual work for as it's all automatically done :D).

Re: Where can I get a Recent-Git-Build of FreeBASIC?

Is this question related to my builds? If yes or in general: The old "0.91" builds are x86 builds. These builds contain a 32bit fbc. So "0.91" and "0.91_x86" are the same in this part. However, "0.91_x86" is the new naming schema as we have a "0.91_x86_64...

Sure, why not. But I'm not sure when I will implement this as I'm currently doing some other stuff.

Re: List with key

A list with keys is called "map" which stores simple key-value-pairs.

Have a look at mdTypes and the mdMap class. Here you have a simple example: Using mdTypes [EN] - Page 2
I'm extending the library soyou may find other useful classes for your projects.

Re: GUI compilations aslways detected as a virus

It's not the first time we have these problems. It's also not related to FB itself but how antivir software works.

For F-Secure you can have a look at http://www.f-secure.com/v-descs/false_positive.shtml and "Send A Sample".

Re: What is wrong with "Test2" or how i declare it right ?

Let's split the problem into its parts: 1. Static doesn't mean, that the variable is known outside the scope. Using it as an parameter default initializer is only allowed, if it would be known in the method itself. Simple example: Dim As Integer foo = 4 Sub bar(ByVal f As Integer = foo) End Sub 2. A...

Re: 'IsRedirected' description

Compile 'Print IsRedirected(0)' to a foo.exe and start it from console first as "foo.exe" later as "foo.exe > output.txt", then compare the results from console in the first start and the output in the file after the second start.

Re: mdTypes

*list.get(i) = 1 ' retreives the value of the pointer at index i in the list and compares it to "1" - this line will not work unless used in an if-statement or assignment..because of syntax rules list.set(i) = 2 'sets the pointer at index i to "2" - don't use this pointer afterw...

Re: mdTypes

At least for your snippet the problem is, that you're declaring the lists in the main scope but using them in a sub. Try this:

Code: Select all

DIM SHARED AS mdList(MYSQL, PTR) tmG_dbList
DIM SHARED AS mdList(MYSQL_RES, PTR) tmG_resultList

Re: mdTypes

The thing about the pointer feature of mdTypes' collections api is more flexibility. Usually you would use real objects, not object pointers. Anyway, to answer your questions: 1. The "Delete" in this line is FreeBASICs Delete Statement. It does only delete the pointers data but doesn't set...

We can already use x86_64 versions of the next fbc: http://users.freebasic-portal.de/stw/builds/linux64/

Re: Licensing Questions toward Freebasic Libs

The license of fbgfx was changed so it contains the same exception like fbrtl. You can create closed source programs with it, no problem.

For all other libraries check out the licenses of these libraries.

Re: Where can I get a Recent-Git-Build of FreeBASIC?

Note: I'm not updating the link anymore unless it's necessary. My builds were made by hand and since St_W got his automatic builds running, there's no need for my builds anymore. Nevertheless, I won't delete the last version so the link will stay available until the end of the world. ;)
