Re: Using Screen Event I am missing some events

Thanks, I hacked my code apart and put the bulk of the Mouse press event into a third thread. This may have solved the problem. I seem to be getting all the events now. I need to study this more and re-write this whole section of code. The hacked code is not working right but at least I am finally g...

Re: Using Screen Event I am missing some events

An update. I rewrote the Screen event loop and made it a thread. Sub wui_Event_Thread(Byval param As Any Ptr) Dim As FB.event event Do If ScreenEvent(@event) Then wui_APP.wui_Pending(wui_APP.wui_Pending_Out).Event = event wui_APP.wui_Pending_Out = (wui_APP.wui_Pending_Out+1) Mod 64 EndIf If wui_APP....

Re: Using Screen Event I am missing some events

The code in question consists of a do statement, followed by a Select statement followed by 12 case statements each followed by a subroutine call, ending with an End Select statement. a Sleep 1 statement and finally a Loop statement. A total of about 30 lines. The problem is the subroutines being ca...

Re: Using Screen Event I am missing some events

Thank you very much for your response. I really appreciate all the great people in this forum that respond so quickly and try to help out with us little guy's problems. I have downloaded your routines and examined them, but as I said I have never used any threading before and have some questions. If...

Using Screen Event I am missing some events

I have a loop using Screen Event (with a Sleep 1 at end of loop) on WIndows 7 using FB 1.04. I put print statements in loop for all mouse events. I get the following stream. 18685.79860036349 Mouse Move 487 659 18685.82970314896 Mouse Move 487 658 18685.95463062344 Mouse Move 487 657 18686.016956344...

Re: Charset2FBFont

Thanks, I was not planning on selling anything, just putting together a library for some friends to use. Thanks for the list. I was planning on doing some research to find a couple of fonts that were in the public domain for use. If anyone knows of fonts that can be used with your software that are ...

Re: Charset2FBFont

Thank you for this fine product.

I am going to use it for one of the projects I am working on. I see you include the zlib and freetype license. Do you have a license I should include for this library or is the zlib and freetype license enough.

Re: Error detection within a Constructor

Many thanks to all that have responded to my request. Yes it is true that no matter what I do someone can come up with a way of playing with my internal data. But in this case, I was just looking for a way to prevent a user from accidentally using the New operator and having the system partial work ...

Re: Error detection within a Constructor

Thank you all for your suggestions, the static create function pretty much does the job. If I do this, what is the best way to prevent the user of my routines from ever using "New myUDT" other than documentation. I tried making the default CONSTRUCTOR "Private" and even "Pro...

Error detection within a Constructor

I am writing a Constructor for a UDT. During the verification process of the input parameters specified on the NEW function, I detect a problem, is there anyway of causing the New function to return NULL instead of a pointer to a"valid" UDT?

Simple Question

I just downloaded the 3.1.1 version for FB. I am currently running FB 1.0.5 with the libraries that come with it on an up to date Windows 7 system. What version of OpenGL will be accessed? This way I can get the proper documentation for OpenGL that matches what I will be loading. Thank you Wally

I would be interested in seeing what your language looks like. If whatever documentation you have is too large for here please send it to my email address. Tiresrme2001@yahoo.com

Re: Welcome to my newest 2D Truecolor Game Lib in FB: AFlib III.

I downloaded your file and ran a few tests. I would certainly like to try my hand at using your library, do you have any documentation on how to use your system?

Thanks

Re: Extended Library 0.5.0 is out!

I'm gonna take a look this weekend and try to get everything working with 1.0. I've been pretty busy lately, with work, family and making a game with dr_d. I've had a chance to briefly look over the changelog and it looks like it should be fairly easy to get it going again. I also have a standalone...

Re: What the files generate are for

Thanks for this diagram, but yes I am looking for more detailed information. I will want to generate some complex data files to be used by the linker. So I need the bit by bit details of the structure of these files.

Thanks,
Wally
