Thank you for your consideration.

As far as the misaligned else, is there anything I can look at and report back to you when I see this happen again. It is not unusual to see it happen several times a day.

Re: WinFBE Editor and FreeBASIC Compiler (All-in-One Package) (V2.1.7 May 31, 2020)

I have occasionally observed the following behavior but have not been able to get a short example. When I am typing in a new set of code, I use 4 blank indents and place the else/elseif at the correct location. I then press ENTER to go to the next line and the editor reposition the else/elseif to so...

Re: WinFBE Editor and FreeBASIC Compiler (All-in-One Package) (V2.1.7 May 31, 2020)

Thank you for this very nice addition to FB. I had been using fbEdit for many years. I gave up recently, it seems that fbEdit has some kind of problem when the number of files exceeds 255. I did not have enough interest to try and trace it down. So I tried yours. I will be sending you a couple of qu...

Re: Header updates for Gtk-3.0 and others

Wow, what service. Thank you and everyone that makes this happen. I looked at gtk 4.0. The list of changes and things that need to be converted is huge. I think I will continue existing projects with 3.24 and over time, get ready for 4.0 for my next project. Maybe by that time all will be stable and...

Re: Header updates for Gtk-3.0 and others

I do the same thing, and I have a 3.24.18 installed and working.

But what I need is the gtk-3.24.18 or as close as possible .bi file. Your version of Gir that is posted is for 3.18 according to the documentation.

Thank you as always for your fantastic help. Thanks in fact for everything.

Re: Header updates for Gtk-3.0 and others

I finally got Gtk 3.24.18 downloaded on my Windows 10 machine via msys. That was fairly painless. I tried and it works great with only commenting out 1 line in my program. However, I tried something in the new version which came in via 3.22. It did not work. I tracked it down to the Gir version bein...

Re: FB debugger : 2.96 32/64 BIT ..... (2020/02/17)

Thanks for the advice. I do not know about the deactivating. I will give it a try. I have worked around this problem for now, by commenting out the call to the GTK function and setting the filename via the freebasic statement, ' ... = gtk... filename="project.prj" The debugger works fine w...

Re: FB debugger : 2.96 32/64 BIT ..... (2020/02/17)

I have a quick question. I am using the latest 32 bit debugger you put together recently with the most recent FB system on an up to date windows 10 system. I have a program I am trying to debug. It works fine way past this point without using the debugger. However when it is run in the debugger (run...

Re: FB debugger : 2.93 32/64 BIT ..... (Sept 5th, 2018)

Update on the above problem.

I have found my pointer problem. The program now works as expected.

So I assume that means I have not crossed any limit problem with the compiler.

Re: Pointer+offset verses Pointer[offset]

Thank you to everyone that helped me understand what is going on. I think I understand now. As my wife says, sometimes I need a good kick in the head to understand.
