Re: FB debugger : 2.60 BETA 6 (23 JUNE 2012)

@TJF: Thanks for your answer, but the the same problem still exists. No matter what piece of non-executable assembler code I insert. I've tried comments (see above; my previous post), labels and TJF's suggestion (I've no idea what this directive is/means?) Example (works): Dim a As UInteger = 1 Dim ...

Re: FB debugger : 2.60 BETA 6 (23 JUNE 2012)

Hi SARG, first I have to say that your debugger is a great piece of software and thank your effort you have put into this. But I have an issue for you, which I ran into recently. I sometimes use FB's Asm blocks to insert comments into the generated ASM-intermediate-code to find certain code location...

Re: How to consider the size of the dialogue?

I've asked a similar question a few years ago and got the following answer from KetilO:

And it's also discussed in an even older thread:

I already did before posting this Question, the compiler switch in make.bat is too long and i couldnt accurately figure the actual switch in it. There's no single compiler switch built into the freeBasic Compiler that creates a native Windows program. You have to link the object-code file manually ...

I doubt that Microsoft would drop its whole .NET development environment including Silverlight, WPF and the great development tools (VisualStudio, Expression Studio). I think it's senseless to speculate which APIs Windows 8 will provide because there's still a long way to go until Windows 8 or any W...

The new versions of FBide (r2, r3) crash each time I'd like to start them. Previous versions of FBide (up to 0.4.6) never made problems like this. The problem is caused by the new "FbIdeFix.dll" - when I replace this DLL with the old version, which I had found here on the forum, FBide works. I've tr...

Today I looked how Windows Explorer (Win XP SP3) solves this problem. It does *not* use a virtual ListView. As I read further on MSDN some features of the ListView aren't available when using virtual ListViews. Such a feature is e.g. grouping. Maybe that paragraph from MSDN (link posted in my previo...

The ListView Control is quite slow - maybe that's your problem. Try using a virtual ListView. A virtual listbox only knows how many items it contains in total and the items it needs to display. So you can display thousands or millions of items in your ListView. See http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/li...

TextFormat plugin for FBEdit

The TextFormat plugin allows to open files having Unix- or other line endings with FBEdit. Previously such files where displayed in one line without line breaks. Using the plugin you've never to worry about line-endings again. The plugin checks the file, if it contains line-endings that differ from ...

I don't know what cavelamb's problem is, but there are actually some errors in the windows include files. Some files have incomplete line breaks - which are used by other systems, but unknown in windows environment. one of these is i.e. "FreeImage.bi" FBedit can't handle such line breaks for example.

Nice to see that Visual WX-C Designer isn't dead. The designer itself looks pretty good and works quite well. It's so much easier to design WXW Windows using a designer than to write everything by hand. Although the wx-c library and their bindings are quite old it's still useful - especially for sma...
