Re: Procedural block world project

You can rarely compare software projects (presented here) by features or design with other longstanding software developed by big teams out there. That would probably only cause frustration and kill any sort of software project just as it has begun. But there is an important fact you can compare: Th...

Re: The request to translate

The paragraph doesn't contain much (non-obvious) info, but anyway, here's a translation: (TN: Describing the table above) The third (and last) column contains the formulas belonging to the constants (in the first column). The letters R, G, B, A stand for red, green, blue and alpha values, respective...

Re: FB debugger : 2.60 BETA 6 (23 JUNE 2012)

Ok, understood. As the flow of called procs is kept I guess it could be possible. let me some time ;-) Just one point, what do you mean by "navigate" ? I meant only that you can jump (in terms of viewing; no changes to the running program or anything like that) to the calling location (or...

Re: FB debugger : 2.60 BETA 6 (23 JUNE 2012)

btw. can FB debugger show the call stack? Could you please clarify what you want. For example, Visual Studio 2012 RTM: http://img824.imageshack.us/img824/332/callstackf.png To put it simple, it's a list of called subroutines - the current subroutine on top and the callers below - and one can naviga...

Re: FB debugger : 2.60 BETA 6 (23 JUNE 2012)

You found a bug, I tested dll and lib but not the case of lib in dll. So thanks for the reporting and now quickly the solution. Thanks for your really quick answer and fix. Works like a charm! By the way, did the previous modification solve your asm problem ? I did replace the asm piece of code lat...

Re: FB debugger : 2.60 BETA 6 (23 JUNE 2012)

Hi SARG, when I'm trying to debug FreeBASIC code, that is compiled as a static library and linked to a dynamic library which is itself loaded by an executable, I can't set breakpoints or step through the code. I've compiled a little demo project for you so that you can easier test and understand wha...

Re: FB debugger : 2.60 BETA 6 (23 JUNE 2012)

@TJF: Thanks for your answer, but the the same problem still exists. No matter what piece of non-executable assembler code I insert. I've tried comments (see above; my previous post), labels and TJF's suggestion (I've no idea what this directive is/means?) Example (works): Dim a As UInteger = 1 Dim ...

Re: FB debugger : 2.60 BETA 6 (23 JUNE 2012)

Hi SARG, first I have to say that your debugger is a great piece of software and thank your effort you have put into this. But I have an issue for you, which I ran into recently. I sometimes use FB's Asm blocks to insert comments into the generated ASM-intermediate-code to find certain code location...

I've asked a similar question a few years ago and got the following answer from KetilO:

And it's also discussed in an even older thread:

Where can I get a Recent-Git-Build of FreeBASIC?

Automated recent git builds at: https://users.freebasic-portal.de/stw/builds/ Since end of June (when development has switched to 'Git'), the main web site 'freebasic-portal.de' continues to always provide Daily-SVN-Builds of FreeBASIC, and consequently the used FBC compiler version is even older th...

I already did before posting this Question, the compiler switch in make.bat is too long and i couldnt accurately figure the actual switch in it. There's no single compiler switch built into the freeBasic Compiler that creates a native Windows program. You have to link the object-code file manually ...
