Re: FBEdit Goto Include fixed for GIT FBC

A build of the version found in the SVN repo is currently not available. There are quite a few changes in the repo, but many of them may not be ready for replacing the behaviour of the last stable version yet (which was 1.0.7.6c or 1.0.7.7). An OLD build of mine is available at: http://users.freebas...

Re: FB debugger : 2.70 BETA 3 (august 27, 2013)

What is better : the first call at top and the last one at bottom or the inverse ? Anyway this can be configurable. Probably there is no "best" way, but I would put the innermost frame on top and the outermost frame on bottom, like Visual Studio, Eclipse and Xcode (as far I've seen on scr...

Re: FB debugger : 2.70 BETA 3 (august 27, 2013)

Thank you for your quick response - that looks fine. I just want to show you how this looks in Visual Studio (2010; sorry - I had only a german localized version installed) for comparison. VS also can show calls outside of the application binary (i.e. kernel32.dll) and tries to determine the stack f...

Re: FB debugger : 2.70 BETA 2 (august 23, 2013)

Thank you once again, SARG, for your new and even better version of fbDebugger. You may remember I requested a feature some time ago which I called "Call stack" ( see here ), as it is called in popular debuggers for other programming languages. I wasn't able to explain exactly to you, what...

Re: wxWidgets 2.8.12 FreeBASIC C wrapper

Oh, ok, that explains the dependency issue. But I'm still wondering about the code differences. For example: wxListBox_Create from your wx-c source takes a wxPoint* and a wxSize*, as do the official wx-c sources (both 0.9.0.3 CVS and 0.9.0.2 release). But your FB-headers and your compiled binary tak...

Re: wxWidgets 2.8.12 FreeBASIC C wrapper

Btw: If one removes the "WXMAKINGDLL" #define it compiles and links fine using GCC 4.7.2 (and probably previous versions). But I doubt more and more that the wx-c source you released does match the source used for building the wx-c library included in your binary package. Although the libr...

Re: wxWidgets 2.8.12 FreeBASIC C wrapper

I've built everything using MinGW 4.7.2 (the only version I've installed on this system). I've changed the following build options: in build\msw\config.gcc: UNICODE ?= 1 BUILD ?= release MONOLITHIC ?= 1 USE_OPENGL ?= 1 in include\msw\setup.h: #define wxUSE_GLCANVAS 1 ... and built it using the makef...

Re: wxWidgets 2.8.12 FreeBASIC C wrapper

Thank you for providing the sources for your library. I've tried to compile it using the included CodeBlocks project file and GCC 4.7.2 in an MinGW Environment, but ran into a memory issue: -------------- Build: WinDynamicRelease in wx-c (compiler: GNU GCC Compiler)--------------- mingw32-g++.exe -s...

Re: wxWidgets 2.8.12 FreeBASIC C wrapper

This package seems to contain a modified version of the original wx-c library contained in the wx.NET project. Is the source code of this modified wx-c library available or will it be?

Using a closed source wrapper for an open source library looks kinda strange and wrong in my eyes.

Re: windows Multi-language Editor ( English;French;Spanish)

I downloaded your IDE (including source code) some time ago and did test it. Currently I'm using FBedit and so I compared it to that - I don't need two different IDEs - either FBedit or CSED_ed, but not both. And FBedit just won the comparision: CSED doesn't feature code completion, which is very im...

Re: FreeBASIC Code Assistant

I compiled it using VS2010 and it works, but that's all. I can't think of any use for such a program - it makes writing programs not faster at all, except you are a extremely slow typer or can't remember basic syntactical structures (but that's something one has to learn, when programming). Why don'...

Re: I need your advice on developing an factory pr. tracking

I'd take C# for that: ⋅ Its completely free, no need to buy extra components. Visual Studio Express is free also for commercial use. ⋅ Includes a great and powerful UI-Designer for both WinForms and WPF, no matter what you choose ⋅ LINQ to SQL allows really easy Databas...

Unfortunately iMakeGames.com seems to be down again / its previous content is unavailable already since a few weeks. Re: How is it possible to access the archives ?

You still can download all the files - although it's a little bit tricky: this only works if you have an working account (thats apparently the case if you were registered in the old forum). e.g. if you want to Download "xGUI" (and you're logged in) you can click on the Download link and ar...

Re: New Freebasic editor

For anybody having the same problem as I described previously, here's the solution I've found using Microsoft's Dependency Walker: CSED_FB.exe is dependent on two non-Windows DLLs, "SciLexer.dll" and "trm.dll". These aren't included in the download package. The problem was that I...
