so it works and thats all i need.

btw ill gain the data with a fairly large allocated ubyte ptr and copy it into the type - this way ill get rid of all the DeviceIoControl calls.

thanks for advice.

i already got so far, but was wondering wether this is really the way it is supposed to be or not, because MAXPARTITIONS differs from the real partition count. also .PartitionNumber is kind of weird.

i'd keep them. though its not really necessary, cause they dont really change the apis from ground up, they use new ones (eg prepare_v2).
