ohh thanks guys - will check them all out now and yeh mainly wanna play mpg and on XP. My project has video sequences in the middle and a big one at the end - i use an external player at the moment but it shows a window briefly on startup before it goes to fullscreen and so looks a bit cheap hehe - ...

Is there a simple way to play video in your set screen mode without a window (either a certain size or any size) and also to finish and exit so your program continues. What version of FB did you try? The latest version of FB v0.18.2b has a much improved -lang qb compiler switch that is specifically there for porting QB sources.
