BTW, did you improve the "follow the cursor" code according to my suggestion? I like to know if I helped people. I appreciate the suggestion but I had already fixed my angle code before you posted. BTW, the movie doesn't play in the game, while it plays fine in Windows Media Player. I got all the d...

You will need an Mpeg4 capable video decoder to see the video. I would think XVID or DIVX should suffice.

Thanks for the suggestions. I intend to make all controls customizable.

Thank you notthecheatr. I have since come to an understanding regarding the licensing of FBGFX. One I understood it was released under the LGPL and not GPL, I was able to glean that tidbit of info for myself. And I had originally posted those macros, not expecting opposition to them, or the ensuing ...

Thanks for your help on the debugger. It did give me an error when the app crashed. Unfortunately it was very cryptic and not the error I was seeing on the console window. The error on the console had an error number, description and line number of the offense. After running the app 30 times and sta...

Logging Runtime Errors

I am getting an error that shows up for a brief tenth of a second in the console window then my app dies. Is there a way to log this error or pause the console from closing long enough for me to read it? I've tried capturing the error but that's not working. I am compiling with... fbc -s console -mt...

Game Preview Screenshot

Here is a screenshot from a game I am developing in FB. http://www.eastoncomputers.com/Snap80728.jpg Things are coming along quite nicely. I hope to have a playable demo in a week or so. I still haven't come up with a title yet. Even with the intro video already done. http://www.eastoncomputers.com/...

Honestly, I think FreeBASIC and the FBGFX library are brilliant, concise and extremely well thought out. I, by no stretch of the imagination would bad-mouth this, or any of the FreeBASIC works. I just wanted to know how I could use their stuff! :-)

If FBGFX is published under the LGPL then it states in line 5 5. A program that contains no derivative of any portion of the Library, but is designed to work with the Library by being compiled or linked with it, is called a "work that uses the Library". Such a work, in isolation, is not a derivative...
