No worries, I knew that code wouldn't compile. I may not know how to use C++, but I do know it when I see it.

Also, that link to the msdn has a page about "raw input". I don't quite understand it (yet) but it looks like that's what I'll need to use for both my mouse, and for my Xbox 360 gamepad.

FBLua [wip] *2007-8-3*

update: version 2007.8.3 http://www.mediafire.com/?dez9xjhtomj Changes: nothing really major in this release, except that I've changed the way it starts. Now, when FBlua starts up it will look for a script file called "main.lua", it must be in the same folder as FBlua.exe. If it exists then FBlua wi...

That code you posted is what I was using to test mouse input except I was having it print the actual value of buttons itself instead of L,R, or M. My mouse actually has 7 buttons: L, R, M, forward, back, wheel tilt left, wheel tilt right. I'm on windows, so how would I use DirectInput to get the fou...

Is there any way to get input from the extra buttons on a mouse that has more than 3?

thanks, I've never used C so I didn't know about that thing with the strings. As for the NewColor function, using lua_pushinteger gave me an array not defined error from the compiler. I looked in the lua.bi file and found instead a refrence to lua_pushnumber so I tried that instead, and it seems to ...

Well, here's what I've got so far. It runs the pure lua code just fine, but because I don't yet know enough about FB, or about how to use the lua stack, I'm going to need some help with the function wrappers. Eventually though I'd like to be able to have it so that the lua scripts can have access to...

Acutally, I already have. Thanks to that example, and some info I found on the Lua home page, I've figured out how to make it so that FB can run a lua script. Right now I'm working on some wrappers to let the lua script access some of FB's graphics and input functions. If it works out I should end u...

using lua

Maybe 10-15 years ago I messed around with QB a little, but I didn't have much patience then and never really got anywhere with it. Recently however I've gotten back into programming using the PSP Lua Player. While looking around I saw some references that say you can use Lua in FB but how can I set...
