Re: Wetspot compiled to javascript

If you want to try the Emscripten port: 1. Download Emscripten and install it ( http://kripken.github.io/emscripten-site/docs/getting_started/downloads.html ) 2. Get the Emscripten branch from the FB repository and build the compiler as usual 3. Build the rtlib and the gfxlib2 with TARGET=asmjs-unkn...

Wetspot compiled to javascript

I'm porting FB to Emscripten (Emscript is a C/C++ to javascript compiler). There are many functions in the runtime and gfx libraries yet to port, but with some small changes, I was able to compile Wetspot 1 (hello Angelo!) to Javascript, making it playable from a browser. Please run it and report if...

Re: Demo

Long time not see a tunnel effect :) I took your last demo and compiled it to javascript using the work in progress Emscripten port. Take a look: http://freebasic.net/temp/js-tunnel/tunnel.html On the desktop (Windows 10), it runs great in Firefox and Edge, and OK in Chrome. IE 11 can also run it, b...

Re: Syntax highlighting looks terrible :-(

I'm without access to cpanel from work.

I'll try at home later, if no other admin is up to test the new highlighter.

Thanks!

Re: FBC 1.00.0

It's great to see FB finally reaching the 1.00 version! Ten years ago the first version (0.00) was distributed to a few people on IRC (it can be found here: http://www.freebasic.net/temp/freebas_v0.0.rar ) and then the project became public. I started it as an attempt to port to Windows a game I was...

Re: Ratings

The rating percentage didn't make much sense, so I removed it (no idea how it was calculated, the PHP sources didn't help much).

I enabled the thanks list, so now you can see how many users and which ones thanked the post or the topic author.

Re: Freebasic to JavaScript-Converter ?

There is a C/C++ (actually LLVM bytecode) to javascript: https://github.com/kripken/emscripten/wiki . When the FB's LLVM backend is finished, it should be possible to use Emscripten to compile FB to javascript. Then you need the FB runtime lib and the gfxlib also in javascript, but probably someone ...

Re: Ratings

Hmm, that's why nobody was using that feature. Nobody but forum adminstrators could see the "thanks" icon.

I had to add the permission manually for each forum. It should be working now.

Re: forum mods

The () error on old posts should be fixed now.

No idea why the board used to convert those chars to ( and ) back then - the sources are stored like that in the data base.
