One tiny thing, the icon for FreeBasic help has PB letters and "PowerBASIC Help" tooltip :-)

Re: wxFBE, editor for both Windows and Linux

As you said, it works before activating the coding widget. If press "new", drag and drop stops working. I thought it's a bug, not a feature :-(
Good thing is that drag'n'drop works on other parts of the window.

Re: wxFBE, editor for both Windows and Linux

When I open the editor and drag a file from explorer window to editor window, it opens the file. But when I try to open another file this way, nothing happens. Also when I open a new tab and try to drag a file into the empty window, nothing happens. It should just open the file, like it does with th...

Push-push

This is a very simple network game. I didn't remember its name, so I called it push-push. I tested it only on localhost, so I don't know if it works on the real network. As you may see, I took server and client from TSNE library examples, cut out pretty much of code and put a bit of mine, so to make...

Re: WorldSim3D game engine for FreeBasic

FB STRINGs can hold any kind of data. Using a UNION it's pretty easy to pack raw data, or unpack them. Not quite. Try inserting into gothon's example lines (right under the Print Unionk._Str ): Dim SomeText as string=Unionk._Str print SomeText and you'll see what I mean - SomeText equals Unionk._St...

Re: FbEdit

I've got FBEdit working ok under Linux with WINE but I can't execute the program from the IDE. It just locks up. I can run the compiled exe from the terminal or desktop manager. Anybody been able to solve this? -Vince I know this was a couple of years ago, but I am having the same problem. Did you ...

Re: WorldSim3D game engine for FreeBasic

The problem with most network libraries here is that they are designed to send just strings, not raw data used in games. They are good to create a www server, but complex arrays consisting strings, numbers (like unit's name, its coordinates, ammo etc) need to be converted in often troublesome way. I...

Re: WorldSim3D game engine for FreeBasic

Example 14, the keys left and right are reversed. D should be marked in comments Right while A should be Left, also in the manual (pdf page 55), the mistake just like in Frank's example.

As people say, things that you can't find on facebook or ebay don't exist.

Re: SendKeys sub

Thanks, Marpon's code worked well, but movement keys didn't work (however, everything was OK with text editor as a target). With your method they work! My bot now can turn to another group of zombies and kill them all! :-D

Re: SendKeys sub

Strange, I thought it would be the number PID from Process Explorer... But I've got this number - and what next? I wrote a very, very primitive bot for a game I play, but I'd like to be able to do other things when it works. Does it have to make my game window active before it starts sending keys, n...

Re: Issues in fbc-1.00

I can do this:

#Include "fbgfx.bi"
ScreenRes 800,600
Dim Arr1 As fb.image Ptr = ImageCreate(200,200)

but not this:

#Include "fbgfx.bi"
ScreenRes 800,600
Dim Shared Arr1 As fb.image Ptr = ImageCreate(200,200)

Is it a bug or a feature?
