Actually I don't need to know per se. But if it's a windowed console and I need to know the width and height in text to create an array to save screen contents. Then I think I need to know ;-) In Windows XP I could set a windowed console to say 132x60 lines or any odd numbers :-). so I want to know ...

Getting Console Info.

HI all. How would I go about knowing how how many characters wide and how many console lines I current have the console window set to?

if I do a PRINT WIDTH it returns a value in the 3 millions but that don't tell me much lol.

Yeah I was gonna tell him that....his english is far from the worse I've seen. not bad at all. Got a question when I try to compile this it tells me that -lmsvcrt is missing. it tells me that for just about anything I try to compile (I got FB 0.14b) Where do I get msvcrt from? cause I have VB6, VC++...

And just to be sure, doing this won't be a waist of time right? By that I mean it wont rebuild the whole set of elements but just resize the allocated space for the new number of elements I need?

By the way, yesterday, I finished reading your 3D series....DUDE you rock at that stuff, you got a new fan ;-)....well written, clear, to the point....you should combine everything with a TOC, acknoledgement, credits and index and make a boo...

A working pointer example.

As the subject says. Basically I'd like a working example that creates, allocates, uses, addresses, and deletes a pointer and manipulates a pointer's contents. Doesn't have to be big, just enough so I can see what keywords are used and how pointers are implemented in FreeBasic in detail :-) IF there...

yeah I got Pocket DOS on my hp 620 lx..but yeah FreeBasic don't work but I got QBasic setup and I'll be putting a C++ or a Pascal in tehre :-)
