Usually, a permission denied error means that you still have the exe running. And therefore fbc.exe can't write a new version of the final executable file.

Hope this helps.

I just tried this and I like the changes you made from 12 to 13...I'm a fan of FB-CAD because it's a more serious role for FB programming :). and you're doing an awesome job demonstrating that side of FreeBASIC....Good going.

And I'm following this with great interest. :)

May I suggest a data dictionary?

basically a linked list with the ability to locate elements by their index or by a a named index

Dictuionary.Add( "mystik", <other values> )

and then
Print Dictionary.Elements(1).Name
PrintDictionary.Elemetns("Mystik").Name.

Just a suggestion.

Thanks for the replies...for some reason, in the fb install (0.20.0) I can't find a windows/com example folder. Should I redownload it?

VB and Component Object Module (COM)

Just wondering what exactly would be needed in order to integrate COM to FB? or has it been done (or at least tried) before?

I did some forum searches to no avail. So I would like to know what's happening with COM objects. :).

Thank you

I'm just going to wait on something like this from admins and dev team. If a rewrite is imminent (read a must) and a syntax change (that one I get less) well I would like to know what the new syntax should be (or is already planned to be perhaps). But I'd like to know what the new direction would be...

COMM port support somethings got fixed?

I didn't read about them in the change logs. Bit code I wrote for 0.18.3 now seem to work as expected in 0.20.0. So I'm asking coderjeff or anyone else that might know, if anothing was changed concerning comm support in 0.20.0 or if other statements like file manipulation PRINT #1, LINE INPUT #, GET...
