The limits are almost endless;

Maybe it's just my english, but doesn't this seem to state that you'll never stop finding limits? lol

Just a thought. Good work, I was there since that original thread, and I found this a very good read :)

I like the idea yes. Besides, if you take the dev projects here, it would give them some interesting insight on what FB is used for for one thing, and some of the projects they might encounter in their own future projects.

I say go for it. :)

Thank you MichaelW, Hmmm, i'm running XP Pro on one laptop and Vista Home Basic and both seem to work good with your code. awesome. As you say, files seem intact and written as expected. I'll do further testing to make sure they are indeed 100% safe :) If Victor reads this and remembers the code he ...

dos/windows 2 gig file limit

Hi all, Maybe victor can answer this if he remembers, but at one point, he posted code, here or on the qbasicnews forum. I think (not sure) the code used the windows API to open files in 64bit mode so to speak so that the classic 2 gig file sile limite could be overcome with that code. Anyone know w...

I suggest Charles Petzold's Programming Windows book.

You can find it here: http://www.esnips.com/doc/222e384f-f075 ... es-Petzold

Hope this helps.

How about a preformatted blog format where the major types of articles qb express already has becomes the formats allowed... IE Use a blog format for the magazine, but not exactly a blog role per se? no matter what it becomes, I'm still in the effort :) at least I'd like to consider myself as part o...

I like the idea here Immortis. I like the way macrosubstitution is used too.

Does this work with UserDefined types too as is or would modifications be needed?

Really awesome work. :)

I would wait a service pack or two for IE 8.0 before actually using it. wouldn't be surprised if it was a simple issue of a IE8 bug.

D.J. I tend to wonder about the implementation of trigonometric functions. not in the formula they use internally.

there's more than one way to implement atan2 for example. I'm sure there's other differences. Just a thought.
