Re: wxFBE, editor for both Windows and Linux

That leaves one message at launch: Gtk-Message: Failed to load module "topmenu-gtk-module" To fix that would break my "Ubuntu Mate Desktop". I assume this top-menu is the "apple"-like common application menu at the top in stock Ubuntu. Probably not needed. Funny to rea...

Re: wxFBE, editor for both Windows and Linux

Thats right, wxFBE itself has nothing to offer Geany not has, except the builtin form designer, which can be downloaded separetly here: https://www.freebasic-portal.de/projekte/visual-wx-c-designer-61.html It comes with examples. But again it all works only on linux 32 bit. Tested again. Sadly it de...

Re: wxFBE, editor for both Windows and Linux

Hi Eric you are on 64 bit linux? I tried again, in Mint 18.3 64 bit it doesn`t work. Same program from within Mint 18. 2 32 bit works. There you can do sudo cp libwx-c-0-9-0-2.so /usr/lib and most things work. I fiddled around some time with it. Now i have more distros on hd, so i can try in both. N...

At Benchmarksgame C had the first place. They have changed adress: https://benchmarksgame...

Re: Best Distro for FB

Lubuntu is not bad. But i have tested not much. And i have an old Ubuntu with Unity. They are working, so it is no bad choice. I must confess, i have stopped testing at this point. Because Grub2 can boot from .iso directly, it would be possible to have dozens of distros on hd. But i have other proje...

Re: Best Distro for FB

Tested so far: Mint Xfce : the most userfriendly distro i have ever seen. Everything works out of the box, from the live-dvd and the installation to today. Technically fast and advanced, graphically perfect surface to the last detail. Installation of further programs from the huge repository works a...

Maybe tiny dialog is the best start for you.

Re: try at al rubix's

I like the large font. Agree. But in graphics it is sometimes not good to have a even number of lines, because there is no middle line and it is hard to get symmetry. So i deleted a data line in each glyph and now there is line 4 as middle line. ' bigtext.bas dim shared as integer letterpart( 40 , ...

Re: Cairo Clock Example

The situation is confusing. Normally with cairos, "select_font_face" a font family is selected, and the OS chooses which concrete font to take. But sometimes it works with single font names like "purisa", too. So i got a list of font families from wiki and tested which works on W...
